What is Botox/Xeomin/Dysport?

Botox (Botulinum toxin) is used to soften many facial wrinkles and unwanted lines. Botox/Xeomin/Dysport is one of the top non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Medication works on nerve endings and makes muscles less active. That makes “age lines” such as crow’s feet, frown lines and forehead lines less visible or even disappear!

Prior to treatment, consultation is required. You will discuss with a doctor the details of the procedure and the results you desire. You will have your ‘before and after photos’ taken (for medical records only).

Botox/Xeomin/Dysport injections are performed with sterile single use instruments in the procedure room. A very thin, fine needle is used for the injection. A special cream may be applied to numb the treated area before the injection. The injection procedure takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on desired areas of treatment. The injections are quite brief with minimal discomfort.

You can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure; small red marks from the injection may remain for 45-50 minutes. Effects will be visible 5-10 days.

Sometimes patients will need a second injection to achieve the best aesthetic effect. Additional injections, if required, can be performed during a “touch up session”, 1-2 weeks after procedure. The effect of Botox/Xeomin/Dysport injection will stay with you 3-8 months. The treatment can be repeated after this period of time. The procedure can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers, mesotherapy and other aesthetic treatments.

In our clinic Botox/Xeomin/Dysport is performed by a licensed Medical Physician with specific training in the Medical Aesthetics field and a wide range of experience in Europe and North America. Botox/Xeomin/Dysport procedures are not delegated to a nurse or a physician assistant.
